The Crescent Moon Hangs In The Night Sky Poem by Justin Gildow

The Crescent Moon Hangs In The Night Sky

The crescent moon hangs in the night sky
It shines down on me
It bathes me in its light

I've battled against the undead
Tonight, they've all been after my head
Not willing to leave me alone instead
Trying to stop my journey that's been
continuing ahead
After the final battle with the head
vampire
I'll be looking forward to hanging up my
weaponry and gear
And love lying awake or asleep in my own bed

The crescent moon hangs in the night sky
It's a perfect view of it right here
Just outside the head vampire's lair

Since I've battled against his army tonight
It wouldn't make sense for the head vampire
to be sleeping right now
I"m sure he's awake
I'm sure he's up
I"m sure he's waiting for me
