The Crow Of Our Times Poem by Kanaga Subramanian

The Crow Of Our Times

Crows are known for calling friends
Crows are known for sharing food
To call anybody
Kaa kaa kaa
To eat anything
Kaa kaa kaa
To chat anything
Kaa kaa kaa
And start anything
Kaa kaa kaa
The sound of crows echoes all along
Kaa kaa kaa
The sound I here is from below my pillow
Kaa kaa kaa
The world is full of crows now
Where is the cuckoo?
Where is the parrot?
Where are the cockatoo and other singing birds?
Oh crows! You have made the pigeons extinct too!
Messages now are no more graceful
As the noisy crows know nothing peaceful
Messages now are no more royal
As the cunning crows know nothing loyal
No pet is better than the crow of our times
This pet is good because it doesn't require food
For introverts it creates company
For extroverts, a crowd
It gives it's owner immense pleasure
It gives it's owner immense pleasure
Why should he take care of other petty birds,
If that black crow is such a mighty bird
Share fun in tons
Kaa kaa kaa
Share fun in tons
Kaa kaa kaa
