The Cursed Household Poem by Hassan Abubakar Olamilekan

The Cursed Household

Terrible sorrow awoke
Silent the mouths in the household
By firing the helpless heart.

Souls smelt like rotten leaves
As the bodies drown in pitiful tears.
Ones lost hair, ones lost teeth.

Neither the day passing wind
Nor the night falling rain
Can stop the plague in the household.

The household was cursed and punished
With absent of it love ones.

The household, where the flowers
Of bereavement were imprisoned.

Once the sun smile at the Cursed Household
Everything will balance like an equator,
But, the day never arrive.
