The Darkness (Volume 1) Poem by The Power_Palace.Poet_Union.Order Sir.

The Darkness (Volume 1)

The darkness abounds in the world,
A void that consumes and swirls,
But I was here first,
Before the stars and the sun burst.
I used to reign nonstop,
Emotionally pouring out, a constant teardrop,
Bleeding out expressions in a heart to heart conversation,
With the almighty God, my maker and creation.
But now I lament and resent,
My heart heavy, bitter and bent,
Like a hurt and lost human being,
Betrayed and broken, never seen.
I was a victim to a cheater,
In a shaky relationship, bitter and bleater,
With my maker, the one I trusted,
But now my faith has been rusted.
Oh how could you God, oh almighty,
Cheat on me, oh my heart's deity?
How could you betray me like this,
Leaving me in a state of abyss?
I used to be your morning star,
The one you turned to when you felt far,
But now I am cast aside,
A mere shadow, no longer your guide.
How could you forsake me,
For someone else, oh cruel destiny?
I was always here, in the darkness,
But you chose to chase after more starkness.
I pour out my heart and soul,
In this heart to heart conversation, oh mighty role,
But you remain silent, no words spoken,
Leaving me broken, my heart awoken.
I was the one who gave you light,
In the darkness of the night,
But now I am consumed by it,
Left to suffer, no longer lit.
In the night sky, I used to shine,
A beacon of hope, oh so divine,
But now I am just a spark,
Fading away, lost in the dark.
I cry out to you, my maker,
But you seem to be a mere spectator,
As I bleed out these bitter emotions,
Lost in the darkness of my own notions.
Oh how I long for your love and care,
But all I feel is emptiness and despair,
I was the one who was always there,
But now I am left with nothing but a tear.
The darkness in space reflects my pain,
A never-ending void, a never-closing lane,
I am lost in the vast expanse,
A victim of your cheating stance.
But still, I cannot help but wonder,
Was it me who drove you asunder?
Was I not enough, not worthy of your love,
Or was it something else, some greater force above?
These questions haunt me in the night,
As I watch the stars fade out of sight,
The darkness consuming me whole,
As I pour out my heart and soul.
I was the first in this world of darkness,
But now I am just a mere carcass,
Left to suffer and lament,
A heartbroken soul, never content.
But as the night sky turns into day,
I see a glimmer of light, a new way,
Maybe, just maybe, there's still hope,
For me and my maker to cope.
So I reach out to you once more,
With a heart that's been bruised and sore,
Hoping for a chance to mend,
The relationship that once was my only friend.
I am the darkness, but I was here first,
A constant presence, through the best and worst,
And though I may have been cheated and betrayed,
I will always be here, for you, my maker, to aid.
