The Day I Died Poem by Emma Haze

The Day I Died

Tears in my eyes,
Heart in pieces,
I sit quietly,
cursing myself for starting to believe,
all the lies you told me.

I let the tears come,
I let them fall, silently,
I accept I lost you,
and my reason for living at all,
i lost the reason for my smile.

Oh the blood, dries on the knife,
as does the life that was in my eyes,
You were the last thought in my mind,
the day I took my life,
The day I cut my wrists, and died.
