The Day Ruins The Night, Antithesis Poem by Ali Rahimi

The Day Ruins The Night, Antithesis

The bleak dark night destroys the sunny shiny day,
satanic ignorance ruins divine consciousness,
suffocates Pallas Athene ruthlessly,
filthy betrayal demolishes genuine friendships,
Goneril and Regan against King Lear,

Cordelia remains honest and faithful though,

Easy dirty money corrupts true politics,
arrogance roots out the tree of knowledge,
as tragic and proud as Niobe,
full of hubris and punished by Leto,
massive gluttony stamps out equality, fraternity, liberty,
pigging himself out like Adephagia, or Lamia,
the Libyan child eating daemon queen,
Dionysus always drinking and eating,
painful envy baffles the true essence of humanity,
uncontrolled wrath eradicates all grace,
like Heracles shooting at the sun in anger,
trying to kill the sun!
Sluggish sloth devastates all disciplines and plans,
leading to stagnation and inertia,
animalistic lust pollutes all humanistic love,
like Aphrodite, seductive and horny,
seduction and betrayal are the poison, my friend,
greed is deadly, leading to eternal damnation,
king Midas seeking more and more gold, then
so upset and irritated, he couldn’t eat nor drink,
Ultimately,
The day ruins the night …
