The Deaf Man Poem by Kenneth Umunna

The Deaf Man

Now I know how you do it
Yes! How you hear without it
You make us feel we don’t need it
But wish that someday you will use it

Your ear I mean; your ear
I know you do it without your ear
Because you tell me things I’m yet to hear
Yet I’m proud to have an ear

The wonders of the mind you have
Is all I pray and wish to have
Because not all sign talks I have
But your mind that hears I crave to have
