The Devil's Wisdom Poem by Chukwuma Adione

The Devil's Wisdom

The devil calls me anonymous
saying my name is heavier than is mouth
he dares not attempt pronounce
lest his mouth destroys him a second time
the devil perhaps may be a coward
but at the sight of me
his weakness overwhelms him, he gives up
he chooses his battles wisely.
