The Devil Took A Nap One Day Poem by Juy Les

The Devil Took A Nap One Day

The Devil took a nap one day,
And excused himself of worldly matters.
And when he woke, he found, to his dismay,
A world of peace and thinkers.
But the people noticed the Devil's return,
And cried out, 'Your presence has been missed!
We were getting a bit concerned.'

God observed from afar and was jealous
At the attention that the Devil received.
So he left the world in its foulness,
To return when his absence was grieved.
But though the world filled with sinners and sadists,
Alas, he found, to his great horror,
His absence had scarcely been noticed.
