The Doctors Said Poem by Twisted Rose

We were told she had 2 weeks to live
So we gave her all the care that we could give
She was supposed to die in a week and a half
It’ll be best friends, split in half
She was told she would die by the end of the week
In heaven, God she will seek
The doctors said “It should be 4 days now”
She had 4 days to wonder how
She had until tonight to live
A disease, of which she would not survive
She died tonight, pure and true
I want to tell her “I miss you”
