The Dragon Poem by imogen brand

The Dragon

In the dragons den
she roars
her magnificent wings spread in glory

What a beautiful sight
her eyes shine like a burning light
her breath is like watching a bomb explode
such an exquisite yet dangerous sighting

My attraction to her beauty
is going to be the death of me
that's what the voices say

The voices say she is such a repulsive thing
I wish the voices can leave the country

I will protect my beauty
as long as the fiery stars will shine so brightly

My love for her will never fade
such a creature should stay in hiding
from the world may be her horror

I can't bare to her to weep so
