The Emperors Birthday Poem by habib akewusola

The Emperors Birthday

Do you perceive this pleasant
Radiant of whisked egg?
In nakedness of darkness
Smell,
I present my speech
On this segment,
Please have a sit,
Watch my lips dish
Out excitement.
The chest that sees light
And wish to be blessed,
Calculate efforts as you
Stretch per event,
The choirs are culturally
Dressed
Ready for tonight's concert,
Your faith never rest
Even as the eyes melt,
In darkness shed
Beside moonlights nest.
I hear from the deep
Blue shirt,
Singing songs for help,
Like many apostle trek,
Seventy days without quench,
I laugh to boost my strength.
Every heart flows
With the clouds,
No limit is the champions
Clap,
Radiant of pleasant laugh,
No response could be
The governors stamp.
Africans admire the
Chewing stick
Chinese prefer the chop
Sticks,
Empty your heart like
My dust bin,
There's no life without
Coffins
Even Islam appreciates
This ordinary mat weaved.
So much to eat and
Drink,
Good music to please
Your within.
As I dream from this
Evening,
Fragrance of praise is
What I pray,
Today is my birthday,
I bow as you experience
This day.
