The end and the beginning

Life was full of festivals,
Parties, fun and people
Events, marriages and dresses
Temple visits, music and dramas
Work was hectic and lucrative
Took off my time and attractive
Suddenly a bad, a health hit
Came like a thunder bolt
I had to pause, reflect and think
Life came to a standstill in a blink
Not ready to give up
I took the decision to stand up
Take life in my stride
As a new shy strong bride
Packed my bags to a different shore
Leaving behind my folks and lore
Started a calmer life afar
More me time to rejuvenate apar
New place, new job, new people
To rebuild a life more serene apostle
