The Eternal Mystery
and Its countless seeds—
the reality of Time and Space;
nothing else truly exists.
Love, Mercy, Grace—
these the Eternal Mystery
shares with every seed of Its Being.
This is the essence of Paradise:
the unfailing Mercy
that keeps each seed of existence
from decaying
beneath the heat,
the rain,
the mist of Time.
At first,
I thought each seed a stranger—
each enclosed within its own world,
each apart from every other.
But when I looked
with the eyes of Love,
I shed a tear
for my ignorance and illusion.
For then I saw
the Eternal Mystery
hidden as a secret
in the heart of every seed.
All my life
I had been searching.
For what?
I did not know.
But whatever it was,
at last I found it—
the Eternal Mystery.
Nothing else
even comes close.
I had to leave
the Eternal Mystery
to find my place
in this world.
It hurt deeply,
but it was something
I had to do.
And though the temptations
of the world
kept drawing me away
from the Eternal Mystery,
my heart, nonetheless,
continued to cry out
for the Mystery.
My thoughts
betray me at times.
Yet here,
I have found
no other love.
I seek only perfection.
The Eternal Mystery is my Heaven—
the deepest nature within me,
the nature that is
absolutely
the nature of the Eternal Mystery.
I do not know
what else to say
except this:
Time will go on,
but my love for the Eternal Mystery
will never fade.
It lives in my heart.
It lives in my soul.
Will it ever cease?
No.
For how can Love cease
when the Beloved
is the Mystery
from which all being comes?
I have loved—
and shall forever love—
the Eternal Mystery,
until the Mystery calls me
from this life's fleeting joys
and happiness
into Its own arms—
the arms
of the Eternal Mystery.
