The Face Of A Broken Ring Poem by Jackson Nyoho

The Face Of A Broken Ring

It was made of Gold,
appreciated from all within,
Stored in the eyes of the mind
captured by all and praised in all

It was a clean, sharp adorable object,
a symbol of love meant to last;
Greater audience to witness its Glory.
Purchased with a fortune it cost.

It stands the foundation of covenant
always bonding the two red hearts,
in all circumstances it was there.
surely, it performed.

Oh the broken covenant,
where is thy Glory and honor?
Thou never shinned as the star u appeared to be.
Oh the faded love, so Bitter to behold.
