The Final Conflict Poem by June Stepansky

The Final Conflict

Twenty thousand women from
everywhere
united in China
to examine the status of women..
They brought with them
their estrogen
that wonderful hormone
of caring and nurturing,
while everywhere
testosterone runs red in the streets
amid the bones of little children.
Is it possible
that the final conflict
will be between
estrogen and testosterone,
between
Mars and Athena?
