The First Step I Took In Canada Poem by Jenkin Tsui

The First Step I Took In Canada

Get off the plane, Step on the floor,

Contained with a new life, and a hope.

Every step was getting harder and harder with excitement.

The bottom of my shoes and the floor seemed cannot be separated.

I held with my bag pack. Take a look of everywhere.

The feelings came up to my heart.

Learn new things, meet with new friends,

A freedom and a new start.

Everything is past, forget the past, and hope for tomorrow.

The buildings and the ground were very welcome for my coming.

The grass, flowers and trees were whispering to me.

The sky was blue, pole out its hand, greeting with me.

It showed its smile, wished my great attainments can be better.

I believed that the first step I took was in a good path, to build my future.
