The Flower: [original title, Flower Fragrance]
What last longest? The fragrance
the flower to rose as a rose
flourishing
tastes to the appetite nourishing
desire to have its aloud say said
its holy say said spirit form
from her in him for the sharing
petals to prevail
What last longest? The promise
to rendezvous in heat to breed
to supplant
to share him in her sons
save - she in her daughters the
spirit to spirit forms of love alive
the dare in it in furtherance
of care to care
Flower - the witness to the hour
What last longest? The land to flower
a purple crocus
the fire to fire luminous beauty
the seat and crown turned to throne
the halves in nature to love to share
the spirit designed defined at last
a potter's stone.
