The Friend Poem by Katherine H. Belle

The Friend

Rating: 5.0

I am
as I am
As I always will be
Forever known as
'The Friend'

You talk
I listen
Your shoulder to cry on
Your word of wisdom
'Your Friend'

Lover not
Though I want
Though it hurts me to care
as much as I do
'Your Friend'

To taste
Your sweet Skin
Upon my parted lip
Eyes ablaze with lust
'Dear Friend'

I want
To need you
Less than I want to heal
Pleasureable Pain
'As Friend'

Lovely and heart wrenching wrapped in dreamy wishes of love denied. Simply wonderful, O’ the friend hath no idea what is before him!
