The Futile Voyage



The journey, we had started
Even to the cave of glory.
We dreamt of riches and splendor.
In harmattan and rain, march we forward

Day and night we toiled tirelessly
Hoping to be one day fulfilled.
Many puzzles we made soft,
Lots of days no bread nor broth.

But dauntlesswe remained
Andpressed for the markthat beckoned
Our saviour devils we defied all the way
And resilient we were in trouble's days.

Here we are at the mark. painfully,
The mark offers paper not riches
All we do is sweep the streets with our feet
In search of the glory and riches we
