The Garden Of Eden - Andrew W.K. Yip Poem by Andrew W.K. Yip

The Garden Of Eden - Andrew W.K. Yip

God shaped the Garden in six days flat,
A pristine haven where the first pair blessed
Could walk with wildlife and simply rest,
Before He set the spinning sphere in orbit for a test.

He watched the whirling globe rotate,
Then posted sentinels to guard the scene,
To keep the borders safe and clean—
A job for flawless souls with character serene.

A billion years flashed quickly by,
The Maker scanned the modern globe and sighed;
With falling spirits and a shrugged reply:
'Ah well, it was a six-day job, ' He cried.
