The Girl Poem by Amanda Shields

The Girl

Her wrists are cut and bleeding
her lips are black and chapped
her eyes are red with crying and black with her eye-liner
her heart is broken from a love lost
she's insecure with all her pain
her self-esteem is loxer than before
the love she had is no more
her pain you can see in her eyes
what you would never guess about this girl is that, she was once
normal, and had feelings she was once a happy girl with dreams
but then that boy came along and her dreams shattered, her love was lost,
and she became numb to all feelings and pain
