The Haits Of National Government

THE HAITS OF NATIONAL GOVERNMENT

From the drawing board of vision,
A nation builds its frame;
Brick by brick, the laws arise,
And institutions bear a name.

A government begins with structure,
With pillars strong and wide—
A constitution for its compass,
And the people at its side.

Then comes the hour of execution,
When promises must take their flight;
When policies leave paper walls
And walk boldly into light.

Roads are built and schools arise,
Hospitals open their doors;
Justice seeks the voice of truth,
And opportunity reaches every shore.

But governance is not a journey
Without storms along the way;
There are struggles, cries and conflicts,
And difficult debts to pay.

There are moments of uncertainty,
Of failure, doubt and fear;
Yet leadership is tested most
When adversity draws near.

The Haits of government are reached
When service becomes its creed;
When power serves the common good
And answers every citizen's need.

At the Haits of execution,
Vision becomes reality;
The structure finds its purpose,
And the nation discovers its destiny.

But every government has a season,
Every chapter has an end;
The leaders may depart their seats,
Yet institutions must transcend.

When the final page is written,
Let history record the truth:
Not merely who possessed the power,
But who gave the nation proof.

Proof that dreams became achievements,
That struggles gave way to peace;
That the nation's governmental story
Found its final release.

For governments may rise and perish,
And administrations come and go;
But a nation lives beyond them—
Its people carry on the glow.

Thus are the Haits of National Government:
From structure to execution,
From vision to achievement,
From struggle to completion.

And when the final governmental story
Has reached its closing door,
Let the legacy be a stronger nation—
And let the people ask for more.
