The Harvest Moon
And there, upon the threshold of the horizon,
I behold the Moon—
the full Harvest Moon,
a pearl upon the astral tide,
a lantern kindled by the garnered Sun,
radiant beyond words
on this harvest morn.
The autumn equinox draws near,
when the scales of heaven are poised
between the departing light
and the gathering dark.
At this celestial threshold,
where endings whisper of beginnings,
the veil between worlds grows thin,
and the seen leans toward the unseen.
Light and shadow,
twin realities in the eternal dance,
coil into a sacred embrace—
the Sun descending into the womb of night,
the Moon ascending through the chambers of the soul.
And in their meeting,
I behold the mystery of balance:
not the triumph of one over the other,
but the stillness in which both belong.
Here, opposites are reconciled—
fire wedded to water,
silence embracing sound,
the breath dissolving
between its coming and its going.
Here, time pauses
at the heart of its own becoming,
and the fleeting moment opens
into the mirror of eternity.
The hours may stand equal,
yet the soul seeks a deeper balance—
beyond the measure of light and darkness,
beyond the turning of celestial spheres,
where the many return to the One,
and the One is veiled in the many.
From the crown of consciousness
to the roots of earthly being,
from the manifest to the hidden,
this celestial harmony awakens
the slumbering light within.
The Harvest Moon gathers shadows,
not to banish them into darkness,
but to reveal the light they conceal.
Every wound becomes a window,
every ending a passage,
every silence a sanctuary
where the heart remembers
what the mind has forgotten.
The equinox unlocks
the secret chamber of the soul,
where the known and the unknown
stand unveiled before the Eternal—
where seeker and sought fall silent
in the Real,
and the veil of separation dissolves
into the mystery of Being.
Moon of the harvest,
gather the scattered seeds of longing.
Balance of the heavens,
restore the forgotten harmony within.
Peace is sown
in the furrows of every heart,
and love descend like silver light
upon the Earth.
They awaken in the waking world,
flow through the dreaming deep,
and find their way
into every realm of existence—
seen and unseen,
known and unknown.
For beneath the changing heavens,
beyond the dance of light and shadow,
there abides a Silence untouched by time,
a Truth beyond all duality,
a Love without boundary.
And there,
where all distinctions fall away,
the Moon, the Sun, the soul, and the Eternal
are held within a mystery
no word can contain.
