The Heart Played For A Song Poem by Trevor McLeod

The Heart Played For A Song

Rating: 5.0

I want to put you all to work
and make you feel as needed.
To make the world a better place
and feel like I've succeeded.

To let you know my gift of help
is just the thing I do.
To put your talents all to work
was meant to better you.

That when I say we've both been blessed
for all the things we've done.
I'll tell you that the fun we've had
was help to everyone.

And if you say you've had enough
I'll ask that you do more.
And Shame you for the ones who need
that you would soon ignore.

So when I go to moving on
you'll never say I'm wrong.
When all the time I spent with you
the heart played for a song.
