The Indefatigable Creed 2 (Honey Badger)

Honey Badger
The Indefatigable Creed 2

From the savannas of Africa to the mountains of Asia,
the Ratel walks the harshness of the earth
a stocky, powerful weasel in disguise,
forged by the rough terrain that gave it birth.
gone through slavery, colonization and
sniper eliminator of the leaders

Cloaked in jet‑black night and a silver mantle,
a stark white stripe from head to tail,
it moves on short, iron legs with razor claws;
against its wrath, even the fiercest predators fail.
survived the Arabs who never ever discredited slavery
turning round with religion
currently training Africans to kill African in the name of religion

They call it Honey Badger for a sweetness it ignores
for it is larvae, not gold, that it craves.
Ten percent of a keeper's hives laid waste,
an outlaw of nature that never misbehaves.

Its armor is its skin: thick, unyielding, tough,
impervious to arrows, spears, and stings.
Loose enough that even in a lion's jaws
it twists around and bites the king of kings.

A clever hunter waking with the dusk,
shrewd enough to block a burrow's door,
it shrugs off venom from the deadliest snakes,
feasts on poison—then looks around for more.

Yet when the hunt is done and the belly full,
this fierce, tenacious terror of the hill
somersaults through grass and plays with stones,
a joyful spirit when the world is still.

For in the wild, aggression is only half the tale:
the other half is resilience—unyielding, unbreakable creed.
A creature that stands where others fall,
that takes the sting, the strike, the bite,
and answers with will, wit, and unstoppable speed.

This is the Honey Badger:
the indefatigable, the relentless, the free
a reminder carved in fur and ferocity
that strength is not size,
courage is not beauty,
and survival belongs
to those who refuse to bow.
There is the third coming to bow
