The Infinite in a Tiny Gaze
Wren on the earth—
what do you think
of the sky's unbounded blue?
You have no wings for such distances,
yet you carry the whole expanse
inside your tiny eyes.
Is it you who sees the vast,
or the vast that sees itself
through the aperture of your sight?
Perhaps the sky is not above you;
perhaps you are held
within whatever you behold.
And the Infinite, at last,
leans through the smallest bird
and finds its own reflection—
not diminished, but made real,
in the finite's fleeting gaze.
