The Lady Katie Poem by VICTORIA HEIM

The Lady Katie

Ready the Skipjack
out in the Chesapeake
Oysters are fewer-still waiting to be brought up
from the sandy depths
The Lady Katie sturdy
her mast and billowing sails
dutiful and loyal driven by the Wind
Watermen bring the harvest in to the Port
aft the day 's toil
