The Last Call Poem by Amgad Samy

The Last Call

I'm a shadow of a lover
Who forgets his laughter
In an isolated world
Where silence can be heard
I'm a wreck of a knight
Who loses his fight
For the sake of romance
After a mortal resistance
I'm a memory of a broken heart
That no longer takes part
In an overwhelming love story
In which there's no glory
I'm a whisper of the fall
Waiting for the last call
Hopes and dreams are scattered
Despair and illusions are gathered
I'm an echo of the past
That fades away at last
My last call is in vain
Vanishes in the heavy rain
