when your loved ones change
and say they need space
and have to to take their breaths somewhere
and leave you
feeling so abandoned
&
if they are many
to count with the number of your fingers
you comfort yourself with
those who are left
on some usual sounding promises
until one day when you have only one left
to talk to
during breakfast time and then one twisted day again
she does the same
for the same reason and for some other
new places of her heart
which she thinks fits her excitement
you are starting to feel the misery
of staying put
and then you miss everyone
specially her
but you simply have to accept another fact of life
that one is simply
destined to be alone
and just be oneself
just like all the rest
waiting by the window
without any song from faraway
&
what is left finally is just this waiting
simply waiting for waiting's sake & hence without any expectations
because now you have accepted the last tenet of your life
that there is no one after all
to perish with
you.
