At the labour of striving to reach God,
I laughed;
at the drills of meditation,
the rites of rehearsed devotion,
I laughed.
Gnosis is not earned,
nor wisdom won
through mental or physical exercises.
When consciousness awakened
and every veil fell away,
I laughed again.
