The Longest Story Poem by ... Darjet

The Longest Story

these eyes just don’t have the confidence anymore
those spanish girls standing on the street corner
would have wanted to have known what happened
their smiling eyes in the sun
would have enquired
do they belong to the fallen
to a heatbreaker
to the heartbroken
are we one and the same
all we wanted
all we said we’d do
litters the streets
washes down drains
I saw your crown on the street the other day
and I thought of you
What you were going to tell
has become myths and legends
Pulled out the pin
dropped the safety net
the rope over the valley seems warm
the wind cold
