The Massacre Of Oz Poem by Eric Niehoff

The Massacre Of Oz

A heart is just an organ
Pumping blood through hollow veins
Splattered on the wall
Dark art through scattered stains

She thought that she could help
By aiding in his journey
Little did she know
That she would end up on a gurney

His literal translation
Of his intended need
Gave him an idea of
How he could proceed

To get what Tin Man wanted
He only thought it best
To go straight to the source
And remove it from her chest
