The Materialistic Sensibilities Poem by Suhana Kshirsagar

The Materialistic Sensibilities

Let not those materialistic impulses control
The serenity of the churning & wandering mind
Let not the mind be engulfed by the addictive avaricious
Or be submerged in the whirlpool of quiescent sensibilities
For attachment to material possessions creates suffering
As the impatient mind progressively desires abundance
The wise intellect counteract those sweet indulgences
By argument from the reasoned & rational deliberations
Where the justifiable acumen should concentrate mainly on:
A shift from optimal to the minimalism
Replace the physical assets to the intangible ones
Focus the energies on the unexplored ideas & goals
Prioritize on the values & qualities of happiness & contentment
Limit the accumulation & end the over indulgence of the desirable
Spend more time on acts of kindness & compassion
Finally, escape the trap of materialism & discover true essence of the life.
