As children, we should be grateful for our mothers - they give us lives, loves, and instructions. As parents, we should be proud that our childern understand our loves - it's the happiest thing for a mother to have understanding children - it proves all the sweet and sour of being a mother is invaluable and priceless. But, what mothers produce what children. So, when the poet says great words about mothers, it also shows the poet himself/herself is such as great person as well.
