The Mind Verse The Heart Poem by Grace DeVon miller

The Mind Verse The Heart

my mind tells me this relationship is vain
my heart says not to let you go
my mind screams this isn't right
even though i may love you with my heart and soul
tell my mind to go away
tell my heart you need to stay
tell my mind you are wrong
and watch as you travel on
listen to the heart and mind
they may fight from time to time
but if your heart thinks it through
it may listen to what your mind says to you
the heart blinded by the love
never knows what your mind says above
distracted by your presence
the heart blocks out the mind of matter
the heart may never know
never know what your mind see's
see's tricks and lie's alike
for the fool that you like
the fool full fills you of lies and hate
after you learned from your mastake
tell your mind it was right
as it clearly won this fight
the heart falled to see the truth
the pain he put you through
tears stream down your face
as he was a memorie needed to be erased
time may heal these wounds
but never what he did to you
his words
full of hurt alive
took your breath away then
and crushed you now and for every day
you wish him to take it away
for the one who broke you is the one to fix
to fix your bleeding heart
to see you needed him
see the need for his love
if i had the words to show him
he would see the wrong in what he did
maybe the heart should listen
to what the mind came to say
for the mind know the truth
but the heart faded away
away to his world of lies
and fake comfert
for i miss him today
