Apart of me is missing
Part of me is lost
I am missing a feeling
A feeling I have long forgotten

I am incomplete
Without it
Waiting for it will return
So I can be completed

Love
Is that feeling
That I long forgotten
Hoping that it will return

Waiting for that day
Is like torture
Like a pain
Tearing at my heart

An emptiness
That won’t fill
Loneliness
Gives is my only company

The suffering is unbearable
It is as if I have lost someone
And they took
Part of me with them

I need to find that person
So that piece
Can return
To whom it belonged to

That person is the only one
Who holds the key
To free me from this pain
And this emptiness

I wait for that person
Hoping they will come
And make me whole
Once more
