The Moon And The Sun Poem by new poet

The Moon And The Sun

Rating: 4.0

If I were that moon up in the night sky,
Full of brightness and my twinkling friends all around me
Would you have been that sun way up high?

One day you chase after me, the next I after you,
Never to be given time alone,
An eternal relationship that sadly can’t begin anew.
Never to have a permanent home?

Are we so different from the other?
I am only alight when I see you.
You are only complete with me and not another.
When we are together we make the best view

A solar eclipse that dazzles everyones eyes
The one time we’re together, we have a glimpse of what could be
And when we part I will never forget the few minutes that we shared.
And the next lunar eclipse shall I have to miss seeing a glimpse of that golden sea
But that hour of early winter morning when I see you rise
Then will you see once again my glee
The sight of seeing such a face so dear and faired
Makes me wish that fate would not be so cruel as to show me the face of the one who I can never have
