The More We Know

In itself, what worth is knowledge?
Where information grows
Where hungry souls come and forage
To find the way to go

To places where but few have trod
To foreign far off shores
To seek if truly there’s a God
And open wisdom’s doors

Where wisdom feeds an open mind
Where doubt begins to flee
The facts of life the truth we find
May help to set us free

Where eyes may see and ears hear
Where life’s true way is found
Where wisdom leads to godly fear
The path to Hallowed Ground

The more we know the more we learn
The more we understand
The less we’ll find to cause concern
Toward The Promised Land

Nothing we’ll find will cause us loss
Nothing to cause us pain
For this Christ died upon the cross
To rise with Him again

The more discovered in Jesus
The more our eyes can see
The less love’s ways displease us
Toward life’s victory

To triumph, success and conquest
Over that which keep us tied
Holding us from the very best
The enemy would hide
