The Nature Of Cancer Poem by Scott McQueen

The Nature Of Cancer

Rating: 5.0

There's a tumor in me, deep down in bowels
With each passing night, it howls and growls
Twisting and turning, there's a burning inside
The pain that I feel, I can longer hide

Havoc! I cry for my dear Juliet
But I already know the answer I'll get
Silence surrounds me; it's all that I know
This cancer inside me continues to grow

Can you not see this cruel irony?
To kill off the cancer, in pain you must be
Life breeding death; pain for salvation?
The answers I get breed only frustration

Cry you must not, but listen to this
Take heed to the answers for eternal bliss
No one can hear the voice of the dumb
If you do not speak, no one will come
