The New Arrival Poem by Winifred Emma May

The New Arrival

Just arrived…….. a baby girl. All the house
is in a whirl. You wouldn't think a scrap
so wee - could so upset the family.
Like some lovely doll she seems-Until you
hear her lusty screams! And then she makes it
plain to you-that she's alive …… and kicking
too.
This roaring and imperious mite-demands
attention day and night…The small young
miss just come to town-has turned the whole
world upside down.
