The night we won the Buick
It was us only us in the town
Knowing the fact we didn't own acar the others usually gave it a frown
It was me driving Barkis to the market everyday
That's just the truth that's what I say
We were extremely poor, that's what our condition was
We were in high debt, our family was in a greatloss
My father was the only one in the family whowasworking
And his salary was not sufficient for all our daily living
Suddenly there arrived a moment to rescue us from our harsh lives into a glory
This was the point the climax of the story
My father had bought two tickets, tickets for the lottery
And we actually won, the happiest of all was me
But what? My father was looking a bit frustrated, without any reason he was angry at me
What had happened, wasn't he feeling happy
What could have happened if he had boughtthe tickets by his own money
I was very disheartened from my daddy
There came my darling mother to unjumble the current situation
There she came to unfold the cause of daddy's dipression
Oh! My dear this ticket is not our's
I am extremely sorry to break your dream stars
Your father is going to give this car to his boss
Our condition will be the same like it was....
