The Ocean's Eyes
At first,
the way to the Truth
seemed easy.
I thought
I would reach the Truth
with ease.
After taking a few roads,
I discovered
that the way to the Ocean
was to drop myself—
like a drop
returning to the Ocean.
When I stepped in,
a wave swept me away
and carried me back to the shore,
reminding me
that my task
is not to become the Ocean,
nor to reach it,
but simply
to remain open
to its vastness
through a steadfast gaze.
My task is only
to watch—
to gaze into
the immeasurable depths,
to behold
the mysteries,
the silence,
the hidden treasures
of the Ocean—
not through my own eyes,
but through
the Ocean's eyes.
