The Old You Poem by lil miss

The Old You

roll the note up tightly
tap the card just lightly
you do the same thing nightly

now you tilt your head back
your mind is trippin off track
all that you can see is black

this time you've gone too far
you've forgotten who you are
you used to be a rock star

with your tattoos and your guitar.

your body was so masculine
now you're so pale and thin
you've changed... where do i begin?

dont you wonder where you could be?
or how it would feel to live drug-free?
why cant you see what we all see?

you used to have the meanest glare
now all you do is sit and stare
i'll always remember you standing there

with your tattoos and your guitar.
