The Pain Of Waiting Poem by Raquel Angel Nagler

The Pain Of Waiting

-At night I wait by the candle-light for dawn.
Teach me how to wait simply,
Like the silent grass in my window, like a candle.
You whisper:
Your eyelids our tallow.
Your tears: wild weeds.
