The Peace Of Stillness Poem by Josh Alfred

The Peace Of Stillness

Still, allayed from all my doing
Except in the acting of sitting
Resting in the lotus position.
Letting mind follow breath.
Name the in and out.
Hear my heart beat.
Bring sense to the world,
A little bit of mindfulness
Introspect quieted.
Keeping calm, serene and complete.
The world outside is bustling,
But I am still,
Allayed from all my doing.
