The Peacock Dances Alone - Poem by Sunil Rajagopal

One thousand blue eyes;
A peacock dancing alone
under the Neem tree.

Mee-yow! Mee-yow! calls
the mournful peacock and yet
vainly pirouettes.

None may halt for his
rare charms, for peacocks dance
under every tree.

Topic(s) of this poem: alone, beauty, birds, dance, tree
