When you've had a bad day,
when your nerves start to fray,
when the outlook is grey
and there's big bills to pay.
When your best friend's in tears
or the rent's in arrears,
when bad luck appears
share the cuppa that cheers.
But don't be a drag,
don't just use a bag.
Real loose leaf tea
is what it must be,
as grandma would teach,
one spoonful for each
and one for the pot
which has to be hot.
Let it brew for a while
and serve with a smile
in bone china cups
to ensure it's de luxe.
If you to this each time
then your brews will outshine
a tea bag in a mug.
You'll deserve to feel smug.
