The Perfect Judge Poem by Kenneth Umunna

The Perfect Judge

Justice he gives without a but
He alters not a single point
In him a lost one may be found
So just in every way at all
Us he defends, our rights as well

In him the law is codified
Though falter he also may
In his senses he lets in no cloud
Lest he gives a false acclaim
And cause a show of shame

His thoughts we want to know
On paths we fear to tow
He knows the perfect will
On which to lay claim
And free all weary hearts

His testament we revere
Its sound a sweet relief
He fears no pain or death
For his oaths he holds up high
And our hopes he fears to shred
