The Persimmon Tree Poem by Joseph Caraveo

The Persimmon Tree

I’m walking around the persimmon tree
Looking for a bit of poetry
Stepping and creeping over dandelion
Peeking thru bark for verb or rhyme
Leaves they rustle, whisper at me
Searching for poetry under this tree
With watery eyes and childish grin
I think I’ll poke around, a little more, again
Mighty little ant then worker bee
Slithering slithers and creepy creeps
Big scary spider staring at me
Glowing with life
The Persimmon Tree
